Venice!

It is official, I am the luckiest girl in the world. This last weekend my friends and I decided to take the train from Lugano to Venice, Italy. We got there too late to do any real sight-seeing the first night, but it was still absolutely amazing. We walked out of the train station expecting some sketch street and were greeted by the canals glistening in the moonlight (as corny as that sounds).

The next day my friends and I spent walking around and just exploring the canals. It felt just like being at disneyland! We got so caught up in our own little world that we didn't even make it to the main square.  We did, however, take a gondola ride. We got to explore some small side canals and see the beauty beyond what normally attracts tourists. It was absolutely gorgeous!! That night we had dinner by the main canal and just enjoyed the peace that came with getting away from school.  It was honestly one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen.

The next day we woke up, packed our bags and made our way to the train station. We were all so bummed to be leaving since our trip had been so short. That small taste of Venice was definitely not enough for me! I will for sure be back there in the future.
We were all antsy to be back at school, but one thing is keeping us going through this week - academic travel starts on Sunday, and that means BUDAPEST BABY!

Crans - Montana

The only way to make winter in Europe a bearable experience, is skiing in the Swiss Alps. This Past week my friends and I have been lucky enough to go with our school to the amazing ski resort of Crans-Montana, located in the French part of the Switzerland. At the top of every mountain, there were new and more amazing views that can only be describe by one word - sublime.

Though the snow was not ideal, our amazing instructor knew just where to take us, making sure we could get the most out of our trip.

After escaping reality for a week, we were all upset to go back to school especially with the new semester starting so soon. By replacing our blackberries with board games for the week, my friends and I got to truly enjoy each others company and make memories that I, for one, will not soon forget.
